Customized online reputation management Services

When firms or men and women fall prey to unfair opponents, irate ex-employees or disgruntled potential customers, then a SERM becomes crucial while in the economic survival of a home business.

Firms like SERMs are crucial in maintaining, and in some instances salvaging and restoring organisations or person's popularity and decent title.

Online searches are a single of your first stuff that modern-day day consumes do prior to spending revenue which has a online business or individual, and a single undesirable click can mean financial disaster for any small business, certainly in this ever developing cyber financial system. Popularity for these SERMs are rising by leaps and bounds with the realization it's not prudent to try to conduct organization within this cyber age and never have a SERM on retainer together with your accountant along with your attorney.

Businesses are also appreciating the collateral advantage of obtaining a Popularity Management agency on-board as an integral a part of their home business design, its amazing marketing! Although securing a company's superior reputation and title on-line, it generates great press and favourable publicity that finally adds considerably for the bottom line of the company's harmony sheet, producing the services to actually pay for alone in many conditions.

This tends to be a really powerful promoting position for organizations too as individuals, to know that they are cleansing and safeguarding their reputations and cyber photographs, even while simultaneously operating a very successful promoting initiative. Typically businesses absolutely disregard their former marketing efforts on the web and choose the advantages of On the net Popularity Management.

Acquiring a SERM firm on your facet is lacking a doubt the way to go within this cyber age. For further details on online reputation management and corporate reputation management, Please visit us at http://removeripoffreports.net/

People Making Money Net

By Lindsay Beyerstein, Media Consortium blogger

Meet the new global elite. They're pretty much the same as the old global elite, only richer and more smug.

Laura Flanders of GritTV interviews business reporter Chrystia Freeland about her cover story in the latest issue of the Atlantic Monthly on the new ruling class. She says that today's ultra-rich are more likely to have earned their fortunes in Silicon Valley or on Wall Street than previous generations of plutocrats, who were more likely to have inherited money or established companies.

As a result, she argues, today's global aristocracy believes itself to be the product of a meritocracy. The old sense of noblesse oblige among the ultra-rich is giving way to the attitude that if the ultra-rich could do it, everyone else should pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

Ironically, Freeland points out that many of the new elite got rich from government bailouts of their failed banks. It's unclear why this counts as earning one's fortune, or what kind of meritocracy reserves its most lavish rewards for its most spectacular failures.

Class warfare on public sector pensions

In The Nation, Eric Alterman assails the Republican-controlled Congress's decision to scrap the popular and effective Build America Bonds program as an act of little-noticed class warfare:

These bonds, which make up roughly 20 percent of all new debt sold by states and local governments because of a federal subsidy equivalent to some 35 percent of interest costs, ended on December 31, as Republicans proved unwilling even to consider renewing them. The death of the program could prove devastating to states' future borrowing.

Alterman notes that the states could face up to $130 billion shortfall next year. States can't deficit spend like the federal government, which made the Build America Bonds program a lifeline to the states.

According to Alterman, Republicans want the states to run out of money so that they will be unable to pay the pensions of public sector workers. He notes that Reps. Devin Nunes (R-CA), Darrell Issa (R-CA) and Paul Ryan (R-WI) are also co-sponsoring a bill to force state and local governments to "recalculate" their pension obligations to public sector workers.

Divide and conquer

Kari Lydersen of Working In These Times explains how conservatives use misleading statistics to pit private sector workers against their brothers and sisters in the public sector. If the public believes that teachers, firefighters, meter readers and snowplow drivers are parasites, they'll feel more comfortable yanking their pensions out from under them.

Hence the misleading statistic that public sector workers earn $11.90 more per hour than "comparable" private sector workers. However, when you take education and work experience into account, employees of state and local governments typically earn 11% to 12% less than private sector workers with comparable qualifications.

Public sector workers have better benefits plans, but only for as long as governments can afford to keep their contractual obligations.

Who's screwing whom?

Former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich is calling for a sense of perspective on public sector wages and benefits. In AlterNet he argues that the people who are really making a killing in this economy are the ultra-rich, not school teachers and garbage collectors:

Public servants are convenient scapegoats. Republicans would rather deflect attention from corporate executive pay that continues to rise as corporate profits soar, even as corporations refuse to hire more workers. They don't want stories about Wall Street bonuses, now higher than before taxpayers bailed out the Street. And they'd like to avoid a spotlight on the billions raked in by hedge-fund and private-equity managers whose income is treated as capital gains and subject to only a 15 percent tax, due to a loophole in the tax laws designed specifically for them.

Signs of hope?

The economic future looks pretty bleak these days. Yes, the unemployment rate dropped to 9.4% from 9.8% in December, but the economy added only 103,000, a far cry from the 300,000 jobs economists say the economy really needs to add to pull the country out its economic doldrums.

Andy Kroll points out in Mother Jones that it will take 20 years to replace the jobs lost in this recession, if current trends continue.

Worse yet, what looks like job growth could actually be chronic unemployment in disguise. The unemployment rate is calculated based on the number of people who are actively looking for work. Kroll worries that the apparent drop in the unemployment rate could simply reflect more people giving up their job searches.

For an counterweight to the doom and gloom, check out Tim Fernholtz's new piece in The American Prospect. He argues that the new unemployment numbers are among several hopeful signs for economic recovery in 2011. However, he stresses that his self-proclaimed rosy forecast is contingent upon avoiding several huge pitfalls, including drastic cuts in public spending.

With the GOP in Congress seemingly determined to starve the states for cash, the future might not be so rosy after all.

Through most of my adult life I’ve always believed that even though the country might be deeply divided about the direction of the county, there was at least one major party or movement sufficiently sane and principled to give us hope things could, with luck and effort, eventually work out. But not now.

Today, a Tea-GOPer group with the oxymoronic name, Republican Study Group, released a list of proposed spending cuts [complete list from Wendydavis]. which can be summed up in a few words: virtually every cut they want to make will make life meaner for everyone but the rich. We’ll have less public health research and care, more pollution, fewer public services, less science, less public art, more hardship for more people and less assistance for the poor, and on and on.

If we were a destitute nation, flat broke with no future for growth, one might accept some of this as regrettable but unavoidable, but we’re none of those. There is literally no rational barrier to spending the money on the things our society needs. The Tea-GOPers, with framing assistance from the President and very foolish Democrats, just want us to behave as though we’re an impoverished nation and so they’re willing to impoverish the nation’s spirit and cripple its governance to prove it. It’s as though a hostile enemy had put the nation under economic siege, and we’d decided to let them win.

If only there were at least one opposition party to call out these medieval nihilists and crackpots. But alas, we’re stuck with a party that foolishly allows itself to be led by an Administration with no respect for its roots, little vision and even less courage. Every day, Team Obama makes up a fresh excuse for not confronting the nation’s needs, or even describing them honestly, while pretending they’ve done everything they can think of that won’t upset the 60th Senator. Why did these people even want the White House?

And we’re told the Administration’s primary message is to endorse the enemy’s view of America’s economic helplessness and the necessity of making things worse for the most vulnerable in our society.

Yet today, the latest polls tell us Mr. Obama’s and Democrats’ approval ratings are up. Is it because despite his other priorities, Congress managed to adopt several clearly liberal policies in December? Or is it that voters are simply more optimistic about the economy even though they still have a dim view of the direction of the country?

I predict this momentary spurt will collapse. The country faces a related set of crises:

– 15 million unemployed, with millions jobless for more than six months; there is no apparent, dependable engine of growth to reverse that soon;

– a huge collapse in aggregate demand coupled with a deleveraging process after homeowners lost trillions when the housing bubble burst; with depressed demand, businesses have little reason to expand;

– a resulting severe mortgage crisis made even more cruel by pervasive fraud on the part of banks and their servicing entities, with negative implications for the housing market, underwater owners, bank insolvency and the integrity of the foreclosure/judicial system;

– massive budget crisis in many states, forcing layoffs and declining public services, including cuts to safety-net programs whose needs mushroomed because of the recession;

– an out of control financial/banking sector that continues to loot consumers and run an unregulated casino with nearly free money from the Feds;

– a mind-numbing denial about the dangers of global climate change, as its consequences literally begin to flood vulnerable parts of the planet;

– debilitating wars that continue to drain the US while destroying or destabilizing countries we presume to be helping;

. . . and on and on.

Now match that list of actual problems against anything we’ve heard from the Obama Administration or the new Tea-GOPer Congress about their priorities. There’s almost zero overlap. There’s no jobs program, no mortgage solution, no state budget rescue, no reining in the financial sector before the MOTU tank the economy again, no end to wars, no restoration of the rule of law. In short, we see nothing even remotely helpful coming from Washington.

Instead, the DC/Third Way’s top agenda is to cut Social Security, as though the problem with America is that our elderly, having seen their home or market savings wiped out, have too much economic security. Then they want to cut federal spending at the same time state and local governments are contracting and consumers are deleveraging, which can only reduce the country’s standard of living further. And to finish the demolition, they want to cripple government’s ability to address any of the actual problems.

Shouldn’t we be protesting in the streets? These people are trashing the place, but there are no grownups in charge, and as far as I can tell, none waiting in the wings, not even a government in exile, if the whole structure crashes again. We look like early Tunisia, only less aware.

foreclosure report

It's not like the banks don't have infinite rent seeking leverage with near zero interest FED money, but they have marvelous accounting tricks to make them look healthier. But, anyone who has been in a financial bind knows that simple accounting tricks don't last you forever, and, sooner or later the piper must be paid, accounting or not. Well, what his article points out is that the piper will get his due. The real question is, who is the piper, and who is paying him. Once the interest earned, in accounting terms, vanishes, as it will on each loan to be finally foreclosed, the piper is the hole in the balance sheet. According to those who wrote the financial reform, the payment won't come from government (i.e. taxpayer) funds, but the special mechanisms built in will require a restructuring of any banks whose stability is thus threatened. Really? Well, as they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. With the new folks in the White House, fresh off Wall Street, the banks are as powerful as ever, having endowed the campaigns for the newly elected Congress. We have already heard that funding for the financial reform agencies and those already existing, is in trouble. Next, we'll get some subtle, small bill come through and pass which neuters the capability of the government to keep the banks in check. What comes next? Collapse and no action or a bailout.

A press release from LPS' Mortgage Monitor Report shows Foreclosure Inventory Rising for 5th Straight Month

The November Mortgage Monitor report released by Lender Processing Services, Inc. (LPS) shows that the volume of loans moving to REO continued to drop as moratoria further delayed foreclosure sales. While the 90+ delinquency category has steadily declined, the number of loans moving to seriously delinquent status beyond 90 days far outpaced the number of foreclosure starts. Nearly 2.2 million loans are 90 days or more delinquent but not yet in foreclosure.

Foreclosure inventories also continued to rise for the fifth straight month as delinquent accounts are referred for foreclosure, but the sale of foreclosure properties continued to decline. When compared to January 2008 levels, the foreclosure inventory of Jumbo Prime loans is nearly seven times higher; the inventory of Agency Prime loans is nearly six times higher; and the foreclosure inventory of Option ARM loans is approaching five times the inventory in January 2008.

The report also shows that one-third of loans that are 90 days or more delinquent have not made a payment in a year; however, the number of new problem loans declined nearly 5.4 percent from October, which is opposite of the seasonality trend that typically impacts new delinquencies this time of year. Self-cures for loans one to two months delinquent increased in November to a six-month high.

In the month of November, 261,153 loans were referred to foreclosure, which represents a 0.7% month-over-month decline. The total number of delinquent loans is nearly 2.1 times historical averages - and foreclosure inventory is currently at 7.7 times historical averages.

As reported in LPS' First Look release, other key results from LPS' latest Mortgage Monitor report include:

  • Total U.S. loan delinquency rate: 9.02 percent
  • Total U.S. foreclosure inventory rate: 4.08 percent
  • Total U.S. non-current* loan rate: 13.10 percent
  • States with most non-current* loans: Florida, Nevada, Mississippi, Georgia, New Jersey
  • States with fewest non-current* loans: North Dakota, South Dakota, Alaska, Wyoming, Montana
Charts From The Report

The report is 34 pages long. Inquiring minds may wish to give it a closer look. Here are a few select charts.

Total Foreclosure Percent By Product

Foreclosure Increase Compared to January 2008

Serious Delinquencies

Foreclosure Starts vs. Serious Delinquencies

While there are some welcome trends in direction, actual foreclosures are lagging. The pent-up need to foreclose is huge.

Moreover, mortgage rates have rising nearly a full percentage point in the last 45 days. This will put a damper on already depressed home sales, making it harder to unload inventory.

Look for months of inventory to soar in the upcoming months with continued declines in home prices. Contrary to what most think, falling prices are a good thing. Home prices need to fall to a point low enough where genuine demand kicks in.

Foreclosure moratoriums are counterproductive and exacerbate existing problems.

Fox News personality and former Gov. Mike Huckabee (R-AR) recently began appearing in television commercials calling for viewers to dial a 1-800 number to sign a repeal petition against health reform called “Repeal It Now.” The ad, a “project of Restore America’s Voice” (RAV), a political action committee run by Huckabee’s friend Ken Hoagland, also directs viewers to a website that solicits donations [...]

According to disclosures filed with the FEC, RAV’s campaign is managed by a firm called the 949 Media Group. 949 has been paid tens of thousands of dollars to set up RAV’s website and Google search optimization, and receives a regular commission of $10,000 for related media work from RAV. ThinkProgress spoke to a representative from RAV, who told us that 949 is run by an individual named Derek Oberholtzer. According to the representative, Oberholtzer has worked with RAV since the PAC formed in October.

Oberholtzer is well known as scam artist who has used a myriad of tricks to defraud people out of their money. In addition to 949 Media Group, he started a number of companies, including “Apply 2 Save” (A2S) and Giant Media Works. Consumer report websites are rife with complaints about Oberholtzer’s odious business practices. In one scheme, Oberholtzer paid for radio and other advertisements telling distressed homeowners to contact his company A2S to pay a flat $595 fee to receive assistance in renegotiating their loans or to block a bank foreclosure. The Federal Trade Commission has prosecuted Oberholtzer for deceptive practices. In numerous cases, Oberholtzer took the $595 payment, and never did anything to stop a foreclosure or even contact the mortgage company in question. In many instances he continued billing his customers further fees totaling nearly $1,000 without lifting a finger to actually renegotiate their mortgage or halt a foreclosure, as his “Apply 2 Save” company promised.

Making Money With Website

This week over 13 million people watched the ‘Homeless Man with the Golden Voice’, the viral video that changed Ted Williams’ life.  The video featured homeless Ted, panhandling on the street offering his voice skills for money, and sharing a sample of his golden announcer voice for a dollar with Doral Chenoweth, a videographer for The Columbus Dispatch website.  Chenoweth uploaded the video to YouTube in order to share Williams’ skills with the world and hopefully catch him a break.  13 million YouTube views later he did, but if you want to see the original video now you’ll have to do it on The Dispatch website because the YouTube has removed the video due to a copyright claim.

What?  YouTube removed the video that changed this man’s life from YouTube due to a copyright claim?  Sounds ridiculous, right?  And what’s even more ridiculous is that that claim came from The Columbus Dispatch themselves—the online news outlet that got so much coverage and good karma because of this whole thing!

Ted Williams fans are in a tizzy over the fact that the video has been taken down.  A comment on a related video expressed disgust at the copyright claim, telling viewers about how the original video had been taken down.  It amassed 390 views in the first hour alone.

I, for one, hope that The Dispatch had a mighty good reason for asking YouTube to remove the video with 13 million plus views.  As of yet there has been no comment on the reason.  If you go to The Dispatch website you’ll find a page dedicated to Ted Williams, “The Man with the Golden Voice”, which includes links to Dispatch coverage as well as the original video itself, now with the Dispatch logo at the beginning.

I think the Dispatch is doing nothing except making themselves look bad by having the video removed from YouTube.  After all, the original clip gave credit to the Dispatch in the description and was even shot and uploaded by a videographer from the Dispatch itself, so it’s not like it was stolen, uncredited material.

But even if the video had been uncredited I’d say this is a little bit of a special case.  This is a video that changed a man’s life– a video that is pretty special to him, as well as a lot of other people who saw with this video that there is hope for all of us to turn our lives around.  Why did The Dispatch think it would be a good idea to simply wipe the clip from the face of YouTube, especially after so many people blogged about it, Tweeted about it, and posted the link on Facebook.

It sickens me that some people can’t think about anything besides views and revenue.  This was a special case in which some of their footage was uploaded to YouTube in order to do a great service to a man on the street.  It worked, which is amazing, and all the Dispatch could do was think about how it was theirs and they didn’t want it to be on YouTube on someone else’s account?  Like I said, they better have had a mighty good reason for their copyright claim.

Do you think it was a good move on their part to have the video taken down?

Every startup needs to understand that the customer paradigm has dramatically shifted over the past two years with pervasive social networks and smartphones. The customer base is no longer a mass audience that can be driven by mass media, but a dynamic network of individual customers who interact with each other, and expect to interact with you as a business.

If your business doesn’t connect with your customers, individually and as a community, demanding customers will not only ignore you, but will actively keep other customers away. According to the 2009 Tribalization of Business Study by Deloitte Development, one third of all online communities now launched by businesses fail to engage even a hundred participants.

A new book by David L. Rogers, titled The Network is Your Customer, elaborates on this paradigm shift, and outlines the following five key strategies to thrive in this digital age, prioritized from the most basic to the most complex in value to the customer:

  1. Access to your business from the relevant network of customers. Every organization today faces the expectations of an always-on world. To compete, startups must find ways to provide customers an easier, faster, more pervasive connection to digital networks, via mobile as well as the Internet.

  2. Engage customers with relevant and valuable content. In an environment of media overload and rampant ad-skipping, startups that want to engage customer networks need to create content that customers actually want to consume. Funny videos and worthless give-aways won’t make your website go “viral” these days.

  3. Customize your interactions to meet unique customer needs. You need to give customers the tools to customize products, services, and content to suit their needs and interests, to engage them more deeply, add value, and differentiate your offering from competitors.

  4. Connect to the customer in your communication. Join in conversations with customers who are already shaping brand perception and sharing their ideas and opinions on the Web. Conversations may be on existing social media, or on your own brand forum established specifically for this purpose.

  5. Collaborate with customers on shared goals. One of the most powerful ways to engage customer networks is to invite them to collaborate with your startup on shared goals and projects. This requires the right balance of motivators (love, glory, and money), and the right balance of bottoms-up versus top-down control.

Many businesses that seem to understand the new paradigm still fall for some common mistakes, like the following, that can blunt the effectiveness of their efforts:

  • Infatuation with technology. Founders too often see a list of the latest hot tools, and go after them, without first making the proper analysis and connect to relevant customers. The best tools, if not relevant or used incorrectly, can’t save you.

  • Lack of customer insight. Startups launch plans without taking the time to understand the networked behavior of their customers, or the drivers for that behavior.

  • Lack of clear objectives. Without a clear scope and vision, efforts become unfocused, lack impact, and are impossible to measure. Everyone on the team has to be involved and on board, or the efforts will be fragmented.

This book outlines a good process for planning and implementing a customer network strategy to match your customers, your business, and your objectives – whether you need to drive sales, reduce costs, gain customer insight, or build breakthrough products and services.

The bottom line is that today, whatever your goals and whatever your business, the network is your customer. Connect to it and win customers.

Who's Making Money

John Cole

You absolutely did say the essence of that, when the rape accusations against Assange came out last summer. Without missing a beat. And reiterated it thereafter. And if you don’t believe it, I’m sure your archives are more accessible to you than they are to me.

I have no idea why they are more accessible to me than you, but if you put “rape assange” in the search box you will see I dismissed the charges WHEN the Swiss dropped them, stating it is deeply troubling when charges of rape are tossed around, because rape is a serious thing.

The only other thing I said about it was the following:

You know what? Maybe he is a pervert and a rapist. But you don’t exactly have to be Alex Jones or Paul Watson or drinking grain and rain water to think this is a little sketchy. Especially the way it just sort of appeared after the military document dump, and now after the latest dump, the arrest warrant is issued. It is just getting too convenient (Ritter) that every time someone throws a fly in the ointment, this kind of thing happens. Maybe there is something in the personality type and it is all just a big coincidence. Or maybe not.

And I stand by that. You don’t exactly have to be a conspiracy theorist to note that every time someone speaks up, this sort of thing happens. And even then, I noted the possibility of his being a rapist and that maybe there is something in the personality type that makes people who are defiant (like Assange or Ritter) that also coincides with their being sexual deviants.

As to this bullshit:

I eagerly await a link to where you—similar to your hero Glennzilla—ever said anything along the lines of “Regardless of anyone’s opinions of Assange and Wikileaks, an accusation of rape is a serious matter to be resolved pursuant to the applicable law—and no one should EVER attack the accuser, or question her motives, any more than they should assume the guilt of the accused.”

Lo and behold, I linked to two pieces that SAID JUST FUCKING THAT. Here is the Amanda Marcotte piece I linked:

We can be grown-ups here. We can entertain the idea that Wikileaks is performing a valuable service while acknowledging the strong possibility that Julian Assange is himself an asshole who treats women like they’re objects he can exert his massive power issues on. We can criticize Interpol for treating these alleged sex crimes more seriously than they ever treat sex crimes and maintain sympathy for women who reportedly were quite afraid they had been exposed to unintended pregnancy or worse. Maybe we can even do one better than that, and accept that more than a few men who consider themselves liberals or even leftists—-or may even claim to be feminists—-still act like women’s concerns should be dismissed and our rights can be transgressed with ease. I’m not accusing Assange of anything, but I seriously think it’s silly to think the accusations couldn’t be credible.

And here is Feministe:

I’m not particularly interested in debating What Assange Did or Whether Assange Is A Rapist, and I’d appreciate it if we could steer clear of that in the comments section. Rather, I’m interested in pushing back on the primary media narrative about this case, which is that women lie and exaggerate about rape, and will call even the littlest thing — a broken condom! — rape if they’re permitted to under a too-liberal feminist legal system. In fact, there are lots of good reasons to support consent-based sexual assault laws, and to recognize that consent goes far beyond “yes you can put that in here now.” It’s a shame that the shoddy, sensationalist reporting on this case have muddied those waters.

You have now trotted out every single form of weak bullshit imaginable, and the facts and the archives have shot you down each and every time. You even got to throw in a weak shot at Greenwald.

Do you want to stop now, or keep digging?

The Foo Fighters just launched a contest to find directors for their album. Usually these contests involve sending in your fan-made video, having the band judge it, and then getting a camera or a Red Lobster gift certificate as your prize. But for this contest — called “This Video Sucks” — the band is asking fans to submit their reels of previous work. I think this means the winners will get a small budget and work with the band on the concept and shooting. There’s no mention of pay beyond exposure (the videos will premiere on Fuse), but I’m sure that’s all Michel Gondry got when he directed their video for “Everlong.” Says Dave Grohl: “I had this idea that instead of going and spending a ton of money on one video made by a director who’s done it a trillion times, why not split up the cash and give it to the fans and let the fans make 11 different videos for the band? So that, instead of just making one video as the album comes out, we have 11 different videos for the 11 songs on the record.”

The band shot some funny contest promos, which you can watch below:
